It’s a Boy!!!

We had our big ultrasound appointment today … we’re having a baby boy!!! And he looks perfect. The ultrasound tech took a bunch of measurements and everything looks exactly as it should, not a single indicator of any problem at all.

The baby’s heartbeat was 154bpm, perfectly normal. He weighed 9oz, also perfectly normal. We watched his heartbeat, all four chambers look great. We watched him swallow and saw liquid in his stomach, this is good. We saw urine in his bladder, this means his kidneys work. His brain measures normal from all directions. No cleft lip or club foot. His fingers are all straight and he can make a fist, I forget what this is a sign of, but it’s all very good His spine looks great and came to a point where it was suppose to and doesn’t show any sign of neural tube defects. His arms and legs all have the proper bones and they are all in the proper formation. We watched him put his hand under his chin in the “thinker” pose, he waved to us, and covered his eyes in frustration when we referred to him as “Sweet Pea”. We need a more masculine nickname He really enjoyed showing off his “guns”, as the ultrasound tech called it. The baby definitely has strong, well formed arms
