I am pregnant with only one baby! This is very good news. And the baby is perfect
It measured 1.16cm, which is the normal size for a 7 weeks, 3 day old fetus. Mine is 7 weeks, 2 days and a variation of a day like that is perfectly normal. We saw the heartbeat and it was 153 bpm. Perfect. The liquid around the fetus looks good, as does it’s yoke sac (the way it gets it’s nutrients until it has an umbilical cord). The rest of my uterus looked great, too. This egg came from the right ovary, and that ovary looks fine. We couldn’t find my left ovary, but this isn’t something to be concerned about, it was probably just hiding.
The doctor confirmed the due date that I had calculated, July 28, 2010.
Everything looks exactly as it should look. The words “perfect” and “normal” were tossed around a lot during today’s appointment. I’m so releived. And so very very happy!
The fertility clinic released me to OB, from now on I’ll be treated like a a regular pregnancy
I have an appointment next week to talk to an OB nurse. I suspect they’ll do some blood work and prenatal education. We were able to request the OB that we wanted, and we’re meeting with him mid-January.
I have pictures from the ultrasound, I’ll post them soon. I’m still editing them because one is super cute
Hi Leah!! I just caught up on your blog. It is so fun to see the pictures and see how you are progressing. I have often described pregnancy exhaustion like getting hit by a truck. One minute I will be functioninig fine and the next I am done– no negotiating with it. We need to get together soon!! Miss you.
